Your role

You will typically be scoping, planning, managing and creating deliverables as part of a larger project team, bringing your expertise and prior experience to advise clients, using a structured, evidence-based approach to help our clients to understand and articulate key business challenges. You will design and implement innovative solutions to deliver enhanced business performance as well as establishing effective working relationships with peer-level clients as part of project delivery roles, partnering with business teams to establish every aspect of their requirements.

You will also play an important role in undertaking practice development activities such as: developing new service offerings to take to market and contributing to thought leadership; contributing to the management of our business, including team communications; building finance and industry communities; and leading training and other talent initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Defining the Target Operating Model for Finance (i.e. identifying the future role of Finance, and understanding how it will deliver services to the business in terms of process, technology, people and organisation)
• Helping Finance navigate the opportunities and challenges brought about by digital disruption and next generation finance technologies (e.g. robotics process automation, advanced analytics, next generation ERP, Blockchain)
• Undertaking Finance diagnostic exercises to understand the 'health' of the Finance function and identifying what is required to solve the challenges it faces
• Designing, building, and implementing components of the future Finance organisations, e.g. Finance organisation design, defining best practice Finance processes
• Performing detailed financial analysis to support business case development and benefits realisation
• Planning and managing a project work stream to time and to budget in support of the overall project plan
• Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
• Inputting into proposals and identifying follow-on opportunities at existing clients
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting and leading bid and sales activities

Your professional experience

• Bilingual English and Japanese
• Practical experience in or around one or more of the Finance disciplines, i.e. Finance Operating Model, Finance Strategy, Finance Diagnostic, Process Reengineering incl. Six Sigma
• Understanding of end-to-end Finance processes, especially Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report
• Relevant experience in or around one or more of the Digital Finance capabilities, e.g. robotic process automation (application of process robotics within a finance or other back-office environment using Blue Prism, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere), advanced analytics, next generation ERP, Blockchain highly desirable
• Experience working with Lean / Agile development methodologies highly desirable
• Deep knowledge in one or more industry sector
• Project based or prior consulting experience
• Advanced MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to lead, manage and work effectively in teams
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
