Hailing from the UK, Duncan has over 17 years of experience in the recruitment industry holding senior positions in Japan, Korea and China. After graduating from the University of East Anglia in England with a B.A. in Political Science, he came to Japan and began his career in recruitment at Robert Walters' Tokyo office, where he led a team specializing in recruiting finance and accounting professionals for trading companies. In 2014, as Country Manager of Robert Walters Korea, he drove rapid business expansion and grew the company to become one of the largest recruitment firms in Seoul. He then joined Hamlyn Williams, a UK-based financial and technology recruiting firm, in Shenzhen, China as its Asia Head, where he led the growth of the firm's China and Hong Kong operations.

Duncan has held the role of Managing Director of JAC International since August 2022, leading the expansion of that business into the mid to senior level recruitment market for foreign companies based in Japan. He will now take on the added responsibilities of overseeing the strategic growth of VantagePoint as a Managing Partner in both its existing Japan markets and also its latest move into the USA.
