Head of Consulting
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced leader to continue to scale, develop and manage our APAC Solution Consulting organisation.
The Solution Consultants are highly analytical and develop deep business focussed relationships focussed on value identification and delivery.
This leader will be accountable for ensuring the Solution Consulting team is effectively partnering with the Sales Team during the pre-sales phase to secure the buy-in of senior stakeholders through the identification of business processes we can transform with our AI technology and quantify the value which could be realised. This is a highly sales oriented role and it’s critical this individual thrives in a deal led environment.
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, develop and lead a team of Solution Consultants and Solution Engineers in APAC.
- Accountable for partnering with the sales organisation to identify sales opportunities and business processes we can transform
- In partnership with the sales team, responsible for securing the buy in of senior stakeholders and positively influencing the buying decision
- Establish and own our pre-sale value assessment process and lead each prospect through this process
- Accountable for managing a team of technical Solution Engineers who can develop proof of concepts environments to demonstrate how we will realise the value identified and answer technical implementation questions
- Partner with the Customer Success Managers to support more detailed and senior value reporting and value improvement analysis and discussions
- Work in partnership with our data science team to establish and own repeatable value and financial models by product
- Establish value consulting best practices, processes and policies and ensure the team are enabled in these practices
- Establish a set of standardised and repeatable service offerings to help the team scale efficiently
- In partnership with Sales leadership design and own an effective opportunity management cadence and reporting structure, both internally and externally, to ensure we effectively track progress and proactively identify and manage risks and issues
- Act as the primary escalation point for solution consulting issues both internally and with prospects
- Act as the primary senior point of contact and representative for all solution consulting topics with other cross functional teams
Experience & Profile
- Fluency in Japanese and English
- 5+ years of building and managing high performing solution consulting and/or value consulting teams
- 5+ years of relevant management consulting or equivalent software vendor experience
- 5 + years of managing highly analytical data and/or financial modelling projects
- Ability to adapt and operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
- Experience of working effectively under tight deadlines (ideally in a deal led environment) and enjoy managing several assignments and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risks, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, and run team meetings
- Ability to motivate and focus resources with or without a direct reporting relationship
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to solve problems with keen instincts and organizational experience
- Enthusiastic, professional, with a focus on customer success
