Strategy Director
Responsibilities
Support and assist Strategy Leaders in:
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving important strategic issues facing the different business units and regions
- Analyzing industry structure, regulations, and competitive environment to identify changes external environment on strategy & determine potential courses of action.
- Developing and documenting a deep understanding of different customer segments and their associated needs. Ensure segmentation is robust, actionable and simple for the business to understand.
- Bringing expertise and techniques designed to identify and make better decisions under uncertainty. Understand and quantify its impact across all business assumptions
Support Business Unit Leaders and Regions in strategy development to ensure alignment with long-term objectives
- Work with the Management team collaboratively to provide project management and thought leadership to strategic projects
- Guide small cross-functional teams to answer strategic questions using hands-on hypotheses driven approach.
- Guide and coach project team members in using a hypotheses driven approach
- Develop project deliverables and executive report outs
- Document progress against strategic plans to monitor plan progress / success
- Lead discussion of findings and recommendations
Requirements
- 10+ years of cumulative business experience from General Management Consulting or Corporate Strategy with business development background preferred
- Operational track record of dealing with strategic business issues including micro economics, industry structure, operations strategy and finance.
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
