Our client is a Top-tier Global Asset Management firm who is hiring a Japan Equity Research analyst/associate for their Tokyo team

Mandatory experience (won't be considered otherwise)

• Buy-side Japan equity research experience (2-10 years), any sector is considered
• Native level Japanese proficiency (Non-Japanese nationals are also welcome)

Ideal candidates

• Equity research experience at Japanese Asset Management firms
• MBA qualification and CFA charter qualification.is highly desirable

General Responsibilities

• Analysis of a list of stocks allocated by the team or add on by searching new stocks to buy; typically such a list will comprise 25 - 30 names
• Maintain and develop detailed company models
• Maintain a current rating on each stock on the assigned coverage list
• Attending conferences and industry events, and reporting back with detailed information and data points
• Communicate your views to PMs
• Maintain a notional paper portfolio comprised of the stocks on your assigned coverage list
