Global HR Business Partner

The position

The HR Business Partner is part of the Japan leadership team, managing a workforce over 3,500 people.

This role will partner closely with key executives to drive an inclusive and diverse culture and lead the transformation efforts on people practices.

This role will engage with all areas of business to ensure strategic people initiatives are integrated with business outcomes. Incumbent must bring strong HR operational skills and knowledge of best practices. S/he will need to have considerable personal confidence, be decisive and agile, and be intellectually sharp with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

As an HR partner, role holder will provide counsel on all HR matters and ensure that HR goals are aligned with the firm’s strategic plans with focus on the following:

  • Drive HR transformation, post-merger integration synergies and overall change management
  • Drive strategic workforce planning delivery in line with business transformation growth strategy and plan
  • Continuously proceed with employee performance management effectiveness to drive overall organization labor cost efficiency
  • Communicate and present HR status and results to all stakeholders to seek feedback and improvement through regular meetings and reports
  • Interface with global function leaders, based in US /Euro and Asia to manager HR related projects, topics, and events
  • Participate in and be a key contributor at key senior management discussions and provide HR input for strategic business projects and long-term planning and budgeting processes.

Requirements

  • 5 – 10 years experience in the Human Resources Function
  • English and Japanese Bilingual, if foreigner needs to hold N1 Japanese business level
  • Multiple-skilled HR professional experiences/capability cross entire HR modules is required, including hiring, organization design, workforce plan, total reward design, performance mgmt., training and development, employee engagement, leadership development, etc.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • With experience/capability to be a change agent in business organization, talent & leadership solutions development and delivery, especially ever working in a fast-growing business/organization is preferred
  • Demonstrated strong change management capability, with solid experience to support a business transformation growth – high growth, org. & talent capability build/refresh, cost efficiency, culture build, etc.
