Job Description
- Develops new digital marketing solutions. Ideates, designs and leads the development of digital solutions that enables the marketing and commercialization process to be more influential in the eyes of our customers

Organizes and owns end-to-end digital marketing solutions.
- Designs new process and workflows supporting the New Commercial Model (NCM) solutions.
- Leads data scientist, engineers and technical team members to ensure that tool architecture, data flows and interfaces are clearly defined, documented and updated.
- Defines users and R&Rs across each of the process/workflow steps. Explains and onboards cross-functional teams on their specific role to use/operate solution.
- In collaboration with Data Science teams, defines KPIs and evaluation methodologies to keep track of solution performance and ultimate impact (i.e.: sales contribution) in the market.
- Upgrades/maintains digital marketing solutions.
- Identifies digital marketing solution best practices. Becomes the marketing expert for the solution, identifying key success factors and best practices that demonstrate how marketing team members can benefit from solutions. Develops case studies and documents that show, and prove, the value of solutions.

DIGITAL MARKETING CHANNEL EXCELLENCE:
- Scouts new digital marketing channels. Is an expert on the latest trends in marketing technologies and channels to ideate better ways to engage the customer. Makes proposals for pilots/tests to introduce new channels and implements/introduces them.
- Ensures data is connected, cost is understood and KPIs defined.
- Designs R&Rs for channel operations. Defines what are the channel operations roles (i.e.: what are the roles of relevant players involved, e.g. marketing/user, procurement, IT, etc.). Designs R&R, ensure users know what their role is as well as who are responsible parties for troubleshooting.
- Identifies best practices. Becomes the marketing expert for the channel, identifying key success factors and best practices that demonstrate how marketing team members can benefit from channel utilization. Develops case studies and documents that show, and prove, the value of channels.
- Cross-channel end-to-end vision. Takes a macro view of all customer engagement channels, identifying opportunities for improvement, engaging with cross-functional teams to form a common perspective, and making practical proposals to sr. management and related teams on how take steps forward.

COMMUNICATION AND TRANSFORMATION:
- Understands the internal commercial customer. Listens, identifies and understands the pain-points impairing commercial (marketing, sales MAC, etc.) teams’ ability to work effectively and drive market share growth.
- Connects ideas & expertise across the organization. Combines her/his expertise with that of others (across SDT, CO, MAC, MAF, BUs) to come up with innovative channel/solution proposals to address problems.
- Communicates persuasively, driving change. Makes compelling, succinct documents that clearly explain concepts and solutions. Communicates and presents ideas convincingly, briefly and to the point. Makes attendees feel active participants of presentations/meetings, thus engaging and driving change.
- HANDS-ON EXECUTION: executes real-life pilots utilizing marketing (NCM) solutions or channels. Puts all her/his expertise in practice, by leading (a selected few) actual customer engagement pilots, defining campaign objectives, brand activities, contents, etc.; thus, demonstrating with specific examples the value of the solutions or channels.
- TEAM LEADERSHIP: leads a team of digital marketing/NCM managers/specialists as well as cross-functional team members; thus, developing their capabilities, providing mentorship and navigating the journey towards a new commercial model.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or above - MBA is desirable
- At least 8 years of working experience with at least 3 years in a Marketing, Digital Marketing, Sales or Commercial Excellence Capacity
- Alternatively 3 years with a top tier consulting firm focused on commercial interventions would be acceptable
- 2 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Consulting or FMCG industries.
- Digital marketing experience understands advanced digital marketing concepts, including marketing analytics, marketing automation, content marketing, targeted/personalized marketing and customer experience.
- Commercial & Operational Excellence: understands basic commercial excellence frameworks, including route to market/resource allocation, channel management, sales force effectiveness, commercial tools & technologies. In addition, understands basic operational excellence areas, including, organizational design, key performance indicators & funnels and process/workflow design.
- Experience leading large scale transformation projects on commercial, organizational or financial interventions.
- Experience leading at least 3 people in a team
- Fluency in Japanese and English
